UNB/Kingswood Golf Team

2010 RCGA University/College Championship May 31-June 4

UNB and Kingswood are proud to have been selected to host the 2010 University and College Championship.

The organizing committee is hard at work and will be looking for volunteers during and leading up to the event. Please fill out one of the volunteer forms if you are interested in volunteering for this wonderful event. It is great opportunity to showcase our wonderful facility and Fredericton's friendly service.

ABOUT UNB/KINGSWOOD GOLF
The UNB/Kingswood golf program was established in 2006. The program was established to help further the competitive playing careers of student athletes in Atlantic Canada. The reputation of its major sponsor Kingswood and UNB to host national events enabled the UNB/Kingswood golf program to be awarded the 2007 RCGA University and College Championship.

A legacy fund was started with remaining monies from the national event to help grow the program to its current state. The program is now guided by a volunteer board of directors. The board looks after fundraising and strategic planning of program which allows our student athletes to concentrate on their studies and training. With the direction of the board and the continued support of the University of New Brunswick athletic department we are pleased to be one of the rising programs in the country.

The program has the luxury of using one of the top golf facilities in the country. Kingswood is the most awarded golf course in New Brunswick. It contains an 18 hole Signature Course, 9 Hole Executive Course, double deck practice stadium and three short game practice areas. The facility is also home to a fitness, bowling, gymnastics and hockey center. Team members are given access to train during the school year at Kingswood.
